Should we talk about the cinnamon roll focaccia?

I somehow convinced myself this was the first Tuesday of the month but - plot twist - it’s actually the second?? Time is hilarious. Blink twice and it’ll be 2026 and we’ll all be wondering how many days we’ve consecutively worn the same matching sweat set.

Last week, I opened my inbox and it was… screaming. Like “Capitalism Has Entered the Chat” screaming.

I wasn’t about to add to the inbox chaos. You’re here, which means you already knew a sale was happening.  No need for me to show up in full marching-band regalia just to say “20% off!”

Now that our nervous systems have been mildly soothed by several suspiciously large coffees and hot chocolates, I’m here with:
 tiny announcements
✨ a few thoughtful holiday-shopping favorites
✨ and my tentative Christmas Day menu (which is truly my Roman Empire).

Inside My Studio

If your brain just said, wait wait wait… there was a SALE and I missed it?
Don’t panic. Your girl’s got you.

For email subscribers only, I’ve extended a little winter magic:

Oops - you've got to be on the list to get it!  Sign up here for future secret sales!

Important!
👉 Last day to order prints for 2025: December 18
Starting December 19, I’ll be wrapping up the last orders and then slipping into full cozy reset mode for the rest of the year. My local pro print shop also takes their well-deserved winter rest, which I fully support.

You can still order after December 18, but print orders will resume processing on January 5, 2026.

Digital downloads? Still instant delivery 24/7/365.
For you last-minute elves out there - I admire your confidence.

What I'm Cooking

Let’s talk holiday menus!

Our family hosts Christmas Day and I love it. The planning…the timing…the oven choreography…it’s my Super Bowl.

Here’s the preliminary menu:

  • Mussels in a white wine butter sauce + my favorite bread

  • Lazy sugo with pappardelle
    • I might test homemade egg-free pappardelle (pray for me)

    • If the trial or my energy flops, store-bought is fine

  • My favorite Italian salad with homemade dressing

  • Chocolate mousse (egg-free, magical, wouldn’t know the difference)
    • Served with stovetop espressos if you're feeling extra

  • Cheese board from the best local shop

  • Wines from our favorite wine club
    • Psst: this link gets you $50 off $150 — it’s a steal and we’ve truly never had a bad bottle in over 4 years of membership. We had one bottle leak in shipment but they refunded in an instant, super customer service!

Christmas morning plan:

A cinnamon roll focaccia situation I made for our neighborhood Thanksgiving hangout and everyone promptly lost their minds.

The quick overview: It’s essentially a regular focaccia recipe, married to the Pioneer Woman’s cinnamon filling (without as much sugar) plus her frosting.

  • Make Samin’s focaccia OR this one

  • After rising on a sheet pan: dimple → pour ½ cup melted butter → sprinkle ½ cup sugar + cinnamon → fold into thirds → rotate 90 degrees in pan and rest → dimple again → add second small butter/sugar/cinnamon dusting → bake per fav focaccia recipe instructions → frost

If that feels like too much before coffee?
Make these pancakes. Egg-free hack is to use a flax seed egg instead, or omit entirely and add a splash more milk in the eggs place. Add bacon. Serve with hot chocolate for the littles (or the littles at heart).

Creative Sparks

The way everyone already has their lists ready like we’re all starring in Favorite Things: The Holiday Special.
If you need a few ideas, here are my top picks from this year:

What I'm Reading

I started Gild and… I’m halfway through and not hooked? Which is never a good sign. Might be a DNF.

So now I’m deciding on my next holiday read while simultaneously trying to catch up on Stranger Things and rewatching our favorite Christmas movies.
